Kendall Jenner Will Shoot A Social Media-Cast Model For The Next Cover Of ‘LOVE’ Magazine

With both magazines like W and V and mega-agencies such as IMG and Ford scouting talent through Instagram and Twitter, social media model searches are proving to be more than just a passing trend in the casting world. On Monday, Love magazine — one of the first fashion publications to warmly embrace the new generation of “Instagirls” — announced that it’s getting in on the action with a model search of its own, led by Editor-in-Chief Katie Grand, as well as Kendall Jenner, who will shoot the contest winner for an upcoming cover.

“We’re looking for this generation’s next icon — kinda like me, but, like, a little less good,” Jenner jokes in a promo video on the Love website. All interested applicants (ages 15-35) need to do in order to be considered is post a picture on social media using the hashtag #LOVEME17, along with a short bio that gives Grand and Jenner a general sense of what they, you know, love. “You can literally be a flea wrangler or you could catch lobsters and stuff, it doesn’t matter. We just wanna know you,” Jenner says.

Twenty finalists will be flown out to Los Angeles in November to be photographed by Jenner and interviewed for Love‘s February issue. No word yet on whether you’ll get to mingle with momager Kris Jenner or get a guided tour through Calabasas while in town, but either way, this sounds like a damn good opportunity.

THE SAINT LAURENT HEART COAT: A LOVE STORY

When Hedi Slimane presented his final collection for Saint Laurent earlier this year, it was divided across two continents, the first being a Los Angeles-based soirée, dubbed “Part 1,” studded with so many celebrities that the rumors surrounding his then-unconfirmed departure fell by the wayside.

The second edition, aptly titled “Part 2,” was presented during Paris Fashion Week last March within the brand’s beautifully refurbished couture atelier. The exclusive runway show for fall 2016 meant to symbolize his “love letter”to Paris. And what better way to show that than have the collection’s final look feature a heart-shaped cape made of red fox fur? By April, Slimane was officially out from the French fashion house.

Showgoers followed a strict no-phones policy in Paris, so the furry emoji-like outerwear piece didn’t garner too much buzz on social media. Afterwards, however, was a different story. In May, W Magazine debuted the coveted coat on its June/July cover, titled “Summer of Love” and starring “heart-stopper” Cara Delevingne. By September, the coat made another appearance, this time, and fittingly, on Rihanna in New York City. She wore the statement outfit as she partied for her friend’s birthday until the early morning — and then ended up feeding birds in the street. Around that time, Rihanna was also stuck in her own love story involving Drake and a few sharks. Google it.

During the most recent fashion month, the Saint Laurent item made the rounds for some prime street style moments. In Milan, blogger Erica Pelosini was the lucky wearer, and in an interview with Yahoo, the reason behind her garment of choice was because she was in love — aw! — with her dog, a golden retriever pup named Cashmere who sometimes sits front row at fashion week.

And finally, Kendall Jenner took to social media on Thursday, immediately catching everyone’s attention because the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have been somewhat silent since Kim’s robbery in Paris. So what better way to pop in and say “hello” to the internet than with THE heart-shaped coat?! “Low key look,” wrote Jenner.

We had gotten a few sneak peeks at the forthcoming Kenzo x H&M collection through the Jean-Paul Goude ad campaign starring Chance the Rapper, Iman and Suboi when a few lookbook images were released back in July. But for those of you eager to see everything designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have cooked up for the fast fashion collaboration, the wait is over. The full lookbook is here, and it’s chock-full of technicolor animal prints, cozy separates and statement-making maxi-dresses.

Lim and Leon assembled an eclectic group of creatives to model the bold and layered menswear and womenswear looks: writer and activist Amy Sall, photographer Youngjun Koo, artist and DJ Juliana Huxtable, musician and performance artist Oko Ebombo, fashion editor Harriet Verney, makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, artist Ingrid, musician Anna of the North, model and rapper Le1f, and models Mae Lapres, Hao Liu, Selena Forrest, Tom Gaskin, Julia Banas and Pierre Painchaud. Between these images and the ad campaign, the Kenzo designers have enlisted a seriously cool crew to promote the collaboration.

In addition to the cold-weather appropriate ready-to-wear (coats, jackets and scarves) and more seasonless separates, the collection includes a wide range of accessories: visor sunglasses, totes that look like Kenzo shopping bags, elbow-length gloves, flat brims, beanies, cross-body bags, galoshes, flip-flops, socks and sock boots. The price list has yet to be released, but there is clearly something for everyone looking to score a piece of Kenzo when the collaboration hits H&M stores and online on November 3.

Revealed: How Kim K-West Escaped

Kim Kardashian bravely freed herself by ‘wriggling her hands’ after five masked men bound her wrists and ankles with zip ties and left her in a bathtub during her terrifying robbery ordeal in Paris.

Kim feared she was going to be raped during the break-in that left her tied up in her luxury Paris apartment as men dressed as police officers stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry.

Kim had been asleep in just a robe early Monday when she heard the robbers barreling up the stairs of her two-story apartment behind La Madeleine church in the city’s 8th arrondissement, TMZ reported.

She was halfway through dialling her bodyguard when her phone was snatched out of her hands. Meanwhile, her quick-thinking friend Simone Harouche sprung from her bed downstairs and locked herself in a bathroom, the website reported.

The fashion stylist and long-time friend of the Kardashians called Kim’s personal bodyguard Pascal Duvier, who was out at the Arc nightclub with Kourtney and Kendall less than two miles away.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old reality star begged for her life, screaming that she had two children as five masked men bound her wrists and ankles before leaving her in the bathtub.

Kim managed to squeeze her hands out of the wrist ties by ‘wriggling her hands,’ a source told People. Another source said she ‘screamed from the balcony’ after freeing herself, which is when her friend Harouche heard her.

Kim, who later told police she feared she was going to be raped, didn’t understand the French-speaking robbers amidst the chaotic scene.

But she heard them repeating ‘ring, ring’ before she realized they were searching for the 20-carat emerald-cut Lorraine Schwartz ring given to her by husband Kanye West, according to TMZ.

She soon told them where she left the ring, which is worth a reported $4.5million (€4 million /£3.5 million) and last seen on Kim’s finger in a Snapchat post earlier that night.

Kim Kardashian West robbed at gunpoint in Paris hotel as five men escape with jewellery worth millions

US reality TV star Kim Kardashian West has lost several million euros in jewellery after being robbed at gunpoint in a Paris hotel. Sources close to Kardashian West, who is married to the US rapper Kanye West, said she was left “badly shaken but physically unharmed.”


Unconfirmed French media reports said the masked robbers who were disguised as police officers found Kardashian West in the bathroom when they struck. They are said to have tied her up before fleeing with an estimated 10 million euros (£8.6m) in valuables.

Their haul included a box of jewellery worth five to six million euros and a ring worth around four million euros, a source told AFP. 

The robbers are also said to have handcuffed a night guard before entering the TV star’s room. 

A Paris police spokesman has confirmed that the robbery took place and said an investigation was underway. 

The attack is understood to have taken place at around 3am at a luxury Paris hotel, which has not yet been named. 

A source close to Kardashian West said her two children, three-year-old daughter North and 10-month-old son Saint, were notwith Kardashian in the hotel room. 

Kanye West left his set early at the Meadows Festival in New York.

“I’m sorry I have a family emergency, I have to stop the show,” West said in video footage posted on Twitter by fans who were filming the performance in the New York borough of Queens.

West had been on stage for just under an hour when he said he had to leave. He did not specify the nature of the emergency.

Tom Hiddleston Is The New Face Of Gucci

I guess breaking up from Taylor Swift has its perks, as Tom Hiddleston is the new face of Gucci.

The casting choice makes perfect sense for Creative Director Alessandro Michele, a self-described Anglophile who set Gucci’s broader cruise 2017 ad sat a manor in rural England. Hiddleston, meanwhile, is so British that he’s reportedly in the very public running to play the next James Bond.

Michele’s go-to photographer Glen Luchford lensed the ads at American artist Tony Duquette’s estate in Los Angeles “in an ornate room surrounded by heirlooms, paintings and curiosities.” Hiddleston also poses with a group of shiny-haired Afghan hounds; Michele likes to involve live animals in his ads, from farm animals (cruise 2017) to peacocks (spring 2016).

Fenty Puma By Rihanna Spring 2017

Rihanna took over the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild — an ornate private mansion and historical monument in the 8th Arrondissement — to present a collection that could best be described as Marie Antoinette-meets-streetwear enthusiast (perhaps inspired by her recent CR Fashion Book cover?).

The runway passed through a series of salons, each one decked out with columns, chandeliers and neoclassical art on the ceilings, and the models walked with an almost royal air: some cooling themselves with Puma-branded fans, others dripping in pearls or gemstones (a couple even carried diamonds between their teeth or had lips “pierced” with pearl barbells) and a select few, like Taylor Hill, wearing what was essentially a lace do-rag.

While the silhouettes were widely similar to the first Fenty x Puma outing, with lots of hoodies, lace-up corsets, skintight bodysuits and oversize outerwear for men and women, the color palette and materials were drastically different — and much softer. From flouncy silk teddies and broderie anglaise dresses in baby pink, to jacquard-esque florals in lavender, to lingerie-like slips in brown and army green, the range was equal parts sweet and street. The models’ skin glowed with an iridescent pink flush, courtesy of one Pat McGrath. Ruffles, bows, cutesy ankle socks, tassels and ribbon detailing took the extravagance up a notch — not that we’d expect anything less from Rihanna, who took her bow with a beaming smile.
